Tommy Bowe and Lucy Whitehouse to marry in Wales early July
Rugby star Tommy Bowe will make an honest woman of his fiancé Lucy Whitehouse in early July in her native Wales.
The Monaghan sportsman will say 'I Do' to the former Miss Wales this summer.
While the couple live in Belfast, where Lucy works as a nurse, they have decided to hold the ceremony across the pond.
A source confirmed to Independent.ie that the couple will say their vows in Wales, which is where they first met.
The pair were first introduced in 2011 through mutual friends when Tommy was playing for Swansea team Ospreys.
The 31-year-old also chose to get down on bended knee in Wales, as he popped the question to Lucy (27) while they were out walking on a beach in Pembrokeshire on Easter Saturday in 2014.
It was previously thought that they would have their wedding in the luxurious Castle Leslie in Tommy's native Monaghan, which is where Gordon D'Arcy wed Aoife Cogan.
Tommy's Ulster teammates will be flying in to Wales at the end of the week ahead of the celebrations.
Bowe recently said that he is leaving the majority of the planning up to blonde beauty Lucy.
“I’m trying to stay as far out of it as I can,” he laughed. "I imagine I'll end up turning up in some burgundy suit and she'll probably kill me!"
