If you've every wondered what Ian Dempsey would look like in a big white wedding dress your wait is over!

Today FM DJ Ian was joined by a live wedding-dress clad audience for 'Wedding Dress Wednesday' as part of the radio station's 'Dare to Care' campaign, and the presenter made for a beautiful blushing bride in his pretty silk gown, veil and blond wig.

Ian broadcast his breakfast show this morning in front of a live audience in 25 Fitzwilliam Place, walking down the 'aisle' to applause from fellow wedding dress-clad onlookers who encouraged the presenter towards the mic in his peep-toe heels with chants of 'Iano! Iano!'

Presenter Paula MacSweeney also appeared at the event, fresh from her own big day after eloping to New York to tie the knot with husband Aidan Donnelly.

Not letting the wet weather deter them, more brides from around the country donned their wedding dresses to work in aid of the charity campaign, and posted photos to Twitter to show their support, using the hashtag #weddingdresswednesday.

Today FM's Dare to Care campaign in aid of the Irish Cancer Society is taking place all month, and the station is encouraging listeners to pull out their own dresses or borrow one from a friend of family member for the big day and help raise €50,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.
