Furious Bride-to-be catches mother-in-law doing 'the unthinkable' with her wedding dress

Could you imagine?!

A bride-to-be has been left furious after catching her mother-in-law in a very precarious position with her wedding dress.

The bride-to-be, who has been engaged her fiancé for one year, is due to tie the knot in a destination wedding in December - much to her future mother-in-law's chargrin.

She knows her fiancé's mother isn't her 'biggest' fan, however since the wedding plans picked up speed, the woman has taken to criticising the apparent 'extravagance' of her son and his future wife.

The bride took to Reddit's sub-forum 'JustNoMIL' (a site where daughters-in-law come to vent about their partner's parents to other daughters-in-law) to explain that so far, everything from the engagement ring to the the location of the wedding has been a big issue.

"I try to limit her exposure to my wedding planning," the bride explained, "though when I do this, she complains to my fiance behind my back on how she's being excluded."

Things hadn't been going well however the couple did invite their unimpressed mother over to see their new house and offered to let her stay the night in the spare room.

The conversation at the house quickly came on to the wedding, when the bride explains that the mother-in-law told her to 'watch the calories' or risk not fitting in to her wedding dress. The bride explained that her future MIL continued the onslaught by 'bragging about her diet and how chic and slenderising' her dress for the wedding day was.

After the bride took her leave of the room to help her fiancé to assemble the bed for the spare room, she returned to find her mother in law doing the unthinkable....

"About 40 minutes into assembly, I went to go take a bathroom break and headed into the master bedroom... what do I find but Future MIL struggling to yank my dress over her head!"

Not only that but the woman was stuck in the Galia Lahav gown.

"I blurted out "what the hell?!" and she immediately started stammering "Oh my God! OH MY GOD! OH GOD!"

The bride explained that instead of being annoyed initially she was simply panicked - terrified that her fiancé's mother would rip the dress, which she did.

"She completely destroy the sheer material - and burst the side zipper of the dress and got a dirty foot print on the train.

"I asked her, as soon as I got her out of the dress (and I want to note, with HUGE amounts of disgust, that she was wearing no underwear), what the HELL she was thinking. She responded that she was just trying to make sure the dress would fit me; because if the dress fit her, then it absolutely fit me too. If it didn't fit her, then I obviously had some work to do. Nevermind that I just had my final fitting and it had fit like a glove."

Both the bride and her fiancé are 'very disturbed' by what happened, and the mother hasn't offered to pay for the dress repairs.

"In the meantime, in lieu of an apology, she's lecturing me on spending so much money on a wedding dress and clearly the trouble she had getting into the dress was a sign to get something less dramatic and ostentatious."

And you thought your mother-in-law was bad.
