A news reporter was left giggling live on air when her boyfriend showed up and popped the question to her during a weather report on new year's day.

News anchor Evie Allen thought she was cutting to some important breaking weather news during the January 1st newscast on America's ABC network, however when her boyfriend appeared on set holding a bunch of roses, it appeared the only 'ice' that would be make news was the 'ice' that was soon to be on her ring finger.

"We're getting reports of ice," says reporter Tony after Evie announces some breaking weather news, "in fact I believe that ice is coming around the corner as we speak."

Evie's boyfriend arrives and wishes her a happy new year before dropping to one knee and asking her to marry him.

The giggling reporter sneakily slips her ring off her ring finger before her husband-to-be pops her engagement ring on her hand.

"Of course I'll marry you," bride-to-be Evie eventually responds, before the professionals quickly get back to their weather report.
