Loose Women presenter Andrea McLean has celebrated her hen do live on TV, and revealed that a week from her big day, she is finally getting excited.

In a special episode of the talk show, the bride-to-be revealed some of the details of her nuptials next week.

"About a month ago I had a meltdown about the whole thing," she confessed, "I am really excited. I am looking forward to saying I do and the two families coming together."

As part of her hen celebrations, she and fellow presenters wore bridal sashes, and were joined by topless, balloon-holding, bow tie wearing male models.

The studio was decorated with bunting and signs with 'Andrea's Hen' written across them in gold.

While Andrea seemed to be more interested in the prospect of her families coming together, co-panelist Stacey said for her it was more about the big wedding.

"I could talk about the prospect of me getting married all day," she joked. "It doesn't even matter who to, I just want the day."

"I'm not really bothered about the contractual part of it. I want the wedding day but not to be married."

Andrea announced her engagement to partner Nick Feeney on social media in August.

The Loose Women host, 47, showed off her engagement ring in a Twitter post revealing the happy news, writing “Something happened… #engaged #heputaringonit #beyondhappy #excited #loveisintheair.”

“I never thought I’d feel like this again, that I’d fall in love and get the chance to start a new life," the twice married presenter told Hello! magazine last year.

“It’s been a revelation to him, too. And because we make each other so happy, it’s changed our lives. So many people have commented on how much more positive I’ve become since I met him.

“Thanks to Nick, I’m no longer looking backwards, I’m looking forwards.”
