GBBO's Candice Brown jokes about joint wedding with Prince Harry
Bake Off winner reveals wedding details ahead of big day next year - including who's baking the cake
Great British Bake Off star Candice Brown has joked about having a joint wedding with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as she and fiancé Liam Macaulay prepare for their own big day next year.
The TV start looked loved up with her beau as they posed for photos at The Beauty Awards, and revealed that she would be tying the knot in 2018.
“We are going to get married next year, he's just like 'let's just book it' for the first venue we saw and I was like 'we need to go and see it',” she told The Sun Online at the event.
However the Dancing with the Stars contestant also admitted that when it comes to planning, they haven't gone much further than choosing their bridal party.
“We haven't done anything, I've seen a couple of places I really like, I've got my bridesmaids and my maid of honour," she said.
“Three bridesmaids, two flower girls a page boy and two maids of honour, my best friends.”

The loveliest of afternoons with @thehappyfoodie and #thfcookbookclub ladies! All having made bakes from my book #comfort What a delightful group of women and they did the most amazing job of my bakes (better than mine infact!) thank you for having me I hope you had fun 💋 (the big one in the middle went off for #bakeforsyria hopefully it raised lots of moneys)
Speaking of her engagement to partner Liam coinciding with news of the royal wedding, Candice said it would be the only thing the two couples would have in common.
"It's probably the only thing I'm ever going to have in common with the royals, getting engaged in the same month".
The home baker did however reveal that she wouldn't be DIYing her own wedding cake, finding the few she's done in the past to be too stressful a job, but she may ask her fellow GBBO contestants to chip in to the dessert spread.
"We'll have the best pudding table ever."
