Eagle-eyed Beyoncé fans have noticed something very different about her wedding 'ring'
What does it all mean?
Fans who know Beyoncé, KNOW Beyoncé.
So when Queen Bey makes even the tiniest changes to an outfit, a beauty routine or in this case a tattoo, word is going to get out and fast.
Which is exactly what happened when eagle-eyed followers of the Lemonade artist's Instagram account spotted a subtle - but very intentional - change to her already well-documented ring finger tattoo.
Both Beyoncé and her husband Jay Z have matching 'IV' tattoos on their ring fingers, which they had inked as an homage to their birthdays and wedding date (his is 4th December, hers 4th September and their wedding date was the 4th of April, also for a bonus point 'IV' sounds like daughter's name Blue Ivy when said out loud) however when fans spotted that hers had faded a little, rumours began to swirl that she may be having it removed.
So when a glimpse of what appeared to be a rather different tatt appeared on their star's outfit/music video Instagram post, fans were quick to spot the difference.
Where the Roman numerals 'IV' were, now looks to be a wholly different symbol, with a bisecting line connecting the V and I and the I elongated in a serif style.
VH1 have carried out a poll on their site asking fans what they believe the new ink means, while others have noted that it looks like a 'J' from the side.
While the change seems small, it seems that nothing Beyoncé has done over the years has been on a whim, so chances are the 'glimpse' of an altered tattoo is very much intentional.
Only what does it all mean?
