The How I Met Your Mother actor made the surprise announcement on Twitter to his 9 million followers today.
The Tony winning actor and David, also an actor, said their vows in Italy on Saturday.
Pam Fryman, a producer on the hit show How I Met Your Mother, officiated the ceremony and the entertainment at the reception was provided by none other than Elton John.
Neil (41) and David (39) have been together for over 10 years and are parents to 4-year-old twins Gideon and Harper.
They announced their engagement publically via Twitter in 2011, after the Marriage Equality Act was passed in New York, but later admitted they had already secretly been engaged for several years.
Recent rumours insinuated that the couple might have split, but Neil shot this down on his personal Instagram page:
"I couldn't be more in love with my family," Harris wrote. "Any reports to the contrary are woefully mistaken. #grateful."
The family currently live in a townhouse in Harlem, New York.

How I Met Your Mother reached its season 9 finale last night, an ending to the show and an end to Ted Mosby creepily telling his kids more about his sex life than they're apt to want to hear. Chances are you've dipped in and out of HIMYM over its nine years, but here's some closure anyway.
