Through wheat fields in wellies - a rustic countryside shoot to inspire your autumn nuptials

From wheat fields to wellies and baby's breath to blustery beaches, there's nothing quite like a rustic countryside shoot to inspire a couple's crisp autumn nuptials

Now the nights are getting closer, thoughts have turned from bright and colourful outdoor summer decor to cosy countryside walks in romantic, rustic style backdrops.

While nobody can guarantee the weather for an Irish wedding (best get that Child of Prague statue out just in case!) autumn nuptials are often blessed with the best of both worlds - cool, crisp air that calls for wrapping up in layers of cashmere, wool and whatever else is on offer, and bright blazing midday sun that offers the perfect natural spotlight for a conservatory-set drinks reception where guests can mingle as the sun begins yet another spectacular setting.

There's something evocative about an autumn wedding - which photographer Amber Baruch managed to capture beautifully with this idyllic shoot in North County Dublin.

"I collaborated with the amazingly talented make up artist Nicole Pringle for this bridal inspired shoot," explains Amber "but it was a bit rough and ready!".

"We had the most scenic country house in North County Dublin as our base with plenty of fields and country lanes to explore."

Amber and Nicole kept things really simple for the shoot (the 'wedding dress' was the photographer's own, and she put together the bouquet herself after collecting some wild flowers - really shows what you can do, eh?!) allowing the romantic Irish seaside to speak for itself.

"It has a country living, down-to-earth mood to it - as well as capturing a little spark between the two models," says Amber about the shoot.

Model Mika's simple short lace dress was made all the more bridal with a band of baby's breath in her hair - and, like many an Irish bride, she alternated between glam heels and weather-ready wellies throughout the shoot - while Dan looked smart yet casual in a three-piece suit with loose tie and collar.
