Rugby star Peter Stringer will wed his long term love Debbie O’Leary in an intimate ceremony tomorrow in Spain.
The Corkonian is hoping that his other-half will be the star of the show on their big day tomorrow.
“Knowing Debbie, she won’t put me under any pressure as I don’t like being the centre of attention,” the rugby legend told Ray D’Arcy on RTE Radio One.
“I’m going to deflect a lot of it on to Debbie - it’s all about her, I’ll try fade into the background as much as I can,” he admitted.
The love-struck sports star added that he can’t wait to see his bride to be as she meets him at the altar.
“Debbie looks amazing no matter what she wears, I’m looking forward to seeing her on the day.”
As for the other guests, Peter (37) revealed that there will be a ‘smart casual’ dress code to keep everyone happy in the blistering Spanish heat.
“We’re going to be smart casual as it’ll be quite hot. Suits with open collars...whatever the guys are comfortable in.
“The girls will look pretty no matter what,” he stated.
The 5’6” sportsman also revealed that the couple have no official plans for their honeymoon.
“We haven’t really planned it. But we’ll stay in Spain for a while. We may have to postpone it until the end of the year.
“We’re just focusing on enjoying tomorrow with friends family and enjoying the rest of the week.”
“We wanted to get away to get the good weather and have a good week, and want it to be nice and relaxing.”
The couple have been together for six years.
Peter popped the question to Debbie, who works in PR and Marketing, last June in luxury five star beach resort Sandy Lane in Barbados.
