The Ex Factor: Most Irish women fantasise about sleeping with their ex

Most Irish women still think about sleeping with their exes.

A new survey, measuring heterosexual relationships, shows that the majority of Irish women still think about their ex-boyfriends and hope to rekindle a flame for one night only.

More than 56% of women said they had their best sex with an ex and would meet up with them again if reconnected online, according to a survey by

The feeling is more common with Irish women as only 29% of men said their best sex was with in a previous relationship.

Illicit Encounters, a "discreet and confidential extra marital affairs dating service" website examined levels of sexual satisfaction among married couples, with most saying they look back more fondly on sex with an ex.

"Women are becoming increasingly sexually assertive and less prepared to settle for second best in a relationship," website spokesperson Christian Grant told the Irish Daily Star.

"Women don't tend to marry the guy they had great sex with. They marry more 'sensible' attributes, like whether he'll be loyal or a good father."
