Scarlett Johnansson on looking for love

Scarlett Johansson thinks it’s easier to date someone who isn’t famous.

The Her actress is engaged to French journalist Romain Dauriac and the couple are expecting their first child together later this year. In a new interview with Vanity Fair magazine, Scarlett revealed what makes their relationship work.

“It is [easier to be with someone who isn't famous], but it's more than that,” she told the publication, “We do different things. He's in the whole art-scene world. So it's nice, because we can enjoy each other's worlds, but we don't have our crazy conflicting schedules and all that other stuff to contend with.”

Scarlett knows from past experience how hard it can be to make a relationship work with another famous face. The 29-year-old was married to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds from September 2008 until their divorce was finalised in July 2011. She has also dated Josh Hartnett, Sean Penn and Jared Leto, so Scarlett can definitely see the appeal in dating someone from outside the acting world.

“Of course, actors in general, they're obsessed with emotions,' she explained, before joking “Although, he's [Romain] French, so he's probably overly into his emotions.”

‘It’s strange for him. It’s a huge adjustment for anybody’ — Johansson with her French fiance, Romain Dauriac, at the Venice Film Festival last September

Having already walked down the aisle once before, Scarlett has been sure to correct any mistakes that she made in her first marriage. The Captain America: The Winter Soldier star admitted a greater understanding of herself was what was needed.

“I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship," she told the US edition of Glamour magazine. "And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself."
