There were some particularly adorable pairings on the Grammys red carpet as attendees brought best mates, baby bumps, and baby brothers as well as partners as their plus ones.

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez were among the first duos to arrive and posed for photos almost exclusively together.

They had spent the afternoon getting ready together and posted a video of them freaking out together after Taylor won her first award of the night for Best Pop Vocal Album before they had even arrived.

Meanwhile, two hours later Selena's onetime boyfriend Justin Bieber arrived on the red carpet, via a Carpool Karaoke session with James Corden, with his little brother Jaxon in tow.

The 6-year-old was dressed in a mini tuxedo and didn't seem too impressed when Justin planted a kiss on his cheek in front of snapping photographers, but his face just raised the cute quotient of the evening.

Travis Barker and Tyrese Gibson both chose to bring their children as their red carpet guests.

In terms of couples, or rather trios, John Legend and Chrissy Tiegen were the picture of happiness together as they posed for shots with John's hand on Chrissy's baby bump.

She said she took some maternity style inspiration from Kim Kardashian and she certainly channelled pregnant Kim in a white bodycon column dress with cape.

Elsewhere producer Mark Ronson arrived with wife Josephine de La Baume and The Weeknd was accompanied by stunning model girlfriend Bella Hadid.

Musician Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn, Nick Lachey and his Vanessa, and Don Cheadle and Brigid Coulter were other couples looking loved up on the red carpet.
