H&M to team up with Kenzo for latest designer collaboration

H&M has announced that its next designer collaboration will be with Parisian fashion house Kenzo.

Following on from the massive success of collections by Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang and Balmain, Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim will design a range of menswear, womenswear and accessories for the Swedish brand.

“We can’t wait to share with everyone the world of Kenzo x H&M with all of its creativity, fun and love of fashion,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor at H&M.

Leon and Lim, who are also the founders of New York label Opening Ceremony, are known for their youthful spirit and maximalist approach to prints.

By blending a sense of worldliness with a street style edge, Kenzo has established an extensive celebrity following, and now counts Rihanna, Solange Knowles and Alexa Chung among its fans.

The brief clip posted to Instagram promises a frenetic fashion safari with the same psychedelic animal prints and explosive neon palette the French label showcased for autumn-winter 2016.

“With this collaboration with H&M we want to think big, push the boundaries and bring the new energy of Kenzo to everyone around the world,” said Leon and Lim.

Kenzo x H&M will launch in selected stores and online on November 3.
