Get the look: Aoife Walsh
This is a great winter-wedding/Christmas-party look from former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh. We don't always want to do dresses for the party season.
And if we're not wearing a dress, that other go-to, the tuxedo look, can get a bit tired. The drapey blouse and palazzo pants - Aoife's are from Caroline Kilkenny - as seen here, are a great alternative. Also, these nude/blush tones are a lovely option for when we inevitably become sick of the classic Christmas colours of red, black, purple and silver.
I'm attending a wedding in a month and am finding it very hard to find something to wear. I had a baby five months ago and have yet to get back to my pre-baby size, so I'm carrying extra weight around my stomach and arms. For that reason, I would love something that is not too revealing, with sleeves.
Reply: Reiss has a beautiful navy dress, the Christina, €270; it has a high neck and full-length sleeves, and the cut is loose, almost square. Monsoon, meanwhile, have gorgeous Burberry-ish dresses; there are several styles that are fitted around the bust and then loose below it, with bracelet-length sleeves. And, of course, there's Cos - we're not going to specify one item, as most of their stock would meet the description of what you are after.
