Get the look: Amy Huberman
The denim skirt fits in perfectly with the current 1970s-style obsession, but here Amy Huberman shows her very modern take on the classic wardrobe staple.
The Hube does casual-dressy to perfection, and her skirt-and-blouse combo is a much-needed alternative to the ubiquitous blazer-and-jeans pairing, which has been done to death; while her pointed-toe courts add edge to the look. A printed shirt is a hugely useful addition to any wardrobe; dress it up for work, or wear it casually, as seen here.
I'm 34, and I'm going to a concert in the 3Arena next month with some work colleagues. What do I wear? I haven't been to a concert in 10 years - we're standing for it, too!
Reply: The main thing to avoid is dressing like you're a teenager, as, potentially, there will be hundreds of teenagers there. So avoid anything that could be deemed 'rock chick'. We would also advise that you avoid high heels - nothing says try-hard like someone standing in heels at a concert, and shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot for the entire evening. You want a happy medium between too casual - jeans and trainers; and too fancy - a dress. We suggest a jumpsuit; see the guide to our current favourites, opposite.
