'We're planning a double celebration'
Bride-to-be Emilee Jennings (27), an English teacher and journalist from Sligo but living in South Korea, is set to wed fiancé Young-Hwi Cho this spring.
"Young-Hwi and I met at a music event in Seoul 16 months ago. We had discussed marriage, so I knew he would propose at some point. When he popped the question in an empty café last month, though, I was still completely shocked!
"Young-Hwi asked me to go in and order him a coffee while he parked the car.
"When I walked in, there was a video about our relationship playing, showing all the reasons I should say 'yes' - which, of course, I did as soon as he came in and asked me to marry him.
"We're planning to get married in a little church in Korea this spring, and have another celebration in Ireland during the summer.
"On paper, planning a wedding sounds overwhelming.
"I'm just trying to remain as chilled as possible. This year's latest wedding trends all sound really interesting. I love the idea of flat shoes and wouldn't rule out wearing a floral crown either. But, while I'm a fan of pink, I can't imagine walking down the aisle in anything other than white."
