St Vincent de Paul, long considered a cult favourite among bargain-hunting fashionistas, is expanding their style section.

'Vintage at Vincent's' is a new department of the charity store and so far boasts a collection of more than 4,000 pieces.

It will first be introduced to Dublin stores in South Great Georges Street, Sean McDermott Street, Aungier Street, Rathmines and Fairview.

Dublin retail services manager Dermot McGilloway said he was thrilled that SVP would be competing with high street retailers in the style stakes.

“This is yet another development in making the Vincent’s shops in Dublin a ‘go to’ retailer," he said.

"We have been constantly renewing our Vincent’s shops in terms of layout and customer service.  Many of our shops can rival more famous retailers in terms of range but few can beat us for value.

“Our shops are the 'public face' of SVP in the community and through them we can ensure that customers have access to high quality used goods at very competitive prices.”

There are 38 Vincent’s shops in the Dublin region.
