Updating my look to fit in with my trendy colleagues

updating my look to fit in with my trendy colleagues

I recently qualified as an architect and I've started interning. Everyone in the office is quite young and trendy. How can I spruce up my own daily style to look a little more current and, dare I say, on trend?

Mark (27), DublinChecks are huge, both in popularity and size, for autumn/winter 2013. Oversize checks and plaids, such as the ones seen on the catwalks at Jil Sander and Versace have cemented their position in menswear for the coming season.

An easy way to inject a touch of any trend into your look is through accessories, such as a pocket square or a holdall. For instance, the plaid backpack by Marc by Marc Jacobs (1 €105) is a practical hands-free bag that allows you to keep the pattern at arms length.

A check shirt is a more obvious approach and they're all over the high street at the moment. Replay has a soft teal, pink and grey shirt (2 €100, Arnotts), while H&M have a dark blue and red style for €19.95 (3).
