‘The Newsroom’ star Emily Mortimer reveals relaxed attitude to school-run style
Emily Mortimer admits she isn't "the most put-together mother" at the school gates.
The 40-year-old actress prefers to look casual on her days away from the Hollywood spotlight. Emily - who has appeared in movies including ‘Shutter Island’ and ‘Notting Hill’ - has two children with husband Alessandro Nivola, and says dropping her kids off at school requires minimal effort in the fashion department.
“I am certainly not the most put-together mother at the school gates," she modestly laughed to British newspaper ‘The Times’, before admitting jumbly and vintage” was more her style.
Emily - who is starring in hit HBO show ‘The Newsroom’ - was recently tapped to appear in LK Bennett's fall/winter 2012 advertising campaign. The brunette beauty was described as the “quintessentially British” face of its new ads and launch in America.
However, Emily admits she's far less groomed than any actress in the US.
“Oh, it’s yellow nail polish,” she teased about the stains around her fingers.
Emily was thrilled to be named as the new poster girl for LK Bennett earlier this month. The star revealed that collaborating with the line was the perfect venture as she loves the label's pieces.
"I am delighted to partner with L.K. Bennett as they have been a go-to British brand for my seasonal 'must haves.' I love so many pieces in the upcoming collection, from the perfectly cut bouclé coat to the patent toe ankle boots, they are the perfect complements to any fall wardrobe," she said of the brand.
