Dear Stylemma, I want a pair of palazzo trousers but I’m having difficulty in tracking the right pair down. Can you point me in the right direction? I don’t want to spend more than €70.
If we could live in one pair of trousers, it would be the palazzo. Wide-legged, a classic shape and unbelievably comfortable. The key here is to team them with fitted separates and sky-high heels; otherwise, you’re in danger of looking like a children’s entertainer.
We suggest pairing Topshop’s printed wide trousers in navy, €68, with a simple coral vest, nude platforms and a stack of gold bangles. Topshop’s polka-dot wide-leg trousers, €68, would look fantastic with a fine-knit red jumper and some black patent heels, while Oasis’s terracotta wide-leg crepe trousers, €62, would look fabulous with a fitted cream T-shirt and pearl cluster earrings. Also, Penneys are doing a selection of palazzo pants, starting at €15, in delicate floral prints and a remarkably flattering cut for that price point.
