Being a celebrity is harder than it looks for us mere mortals.

When you don't have a green juice delivery at your service, personal trainers or a glam squad at your disposal, it's easy to get swept up in the 'perfection' of celebrity social media.

Australian comedian Celeste Barber has shown there's light at the end of the tunnel by recreative iconic celebrity Instagram photos in order to prove just how ridiculous they are.

“Some celebrities on Instagram seem to think we, non-rich, non-privileged people are idiots and believe that what they are posting is real,” she told Buzzfeed of her #ChallengeAccepted project.

“I wanted to try to show how ridiculous it would be for a ‘normal’ person to recreate some of these photos.”

“I want to make people laugh and show how majority of what we see from our idols is bullsh*t.

From Kendall Jenner's most-liked Instagram shot of her 'heart hair' to Miranda Kerr's irrational flexibility and Kourtney Kardashian leaving the house without pants - no one is safe from Barber's biting wit.

“I get a lot of really positive feed back, like ‘Thanks for making me not feel so shit about myself’, and ‘Thanks for keeping it real'," she added.
