WATCH: Roz Purcell sizzles in steamy Newbridge campaign - months after original advert is banned
Former Miss Ireland Roz Purcell is back as the face of Newbridge Silverware's eShe range, starring in a risqué video campaign after the first one was banned for being "too raunchy".
The 24-year-old model starred in a sensual and sultry campaign for the jewellery line last year.
On the back of one complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland (ASAI), Newbridge was forced to edit scenes out of the two-minute clip.
The controversial scenes included images of Roz in a split-to-the waist kimono and another where she was pictured dipping her finger suggestively into a cocktail. The ASAI said that the poses struck by the model were "overtly sexual in nature".
For this season's new campaign, stylist Courtney Smith was again enlisted to showcase the younger, diffusion line of accessories in a contemporary and fashion forward brand.
"Thank you Newbridge Silverware for trusting in...my vision. Strong and sensual imagery for a beautiful collection! And of course the incredible Rozanna Purcell knocks it out of the park," she wrote on social media.
Celebrity photographer Barry McCall was also back again to shoot the sizzling scenes.
Speaking about the decision to pull the ad last year, Courtney said, “I think its ridiculous! I’m shocked, it’s not like she’s nude or naked.”
Fitness fanatic and food blogger Roz agreed, saying, "the shoot was meant to be Cuban-inspired, almost Eva Mendes sensual and that's how I acted."
"I was surprised as anyone who has seen it from my family loved it and they would always be very critical, especially if they found something too provocative. I still love the ad and shoot and I think the majority do too."
One thing is for sure - sexy certainly sells, as the range quickly sold out after the ad campaign was released.
