Rosie Connolly has one of the most coveted social media followings in the Irish blogging world.

Her website Hearts, Heels and Handbags has grown exponentially in the last 12 months to the point where she is now blogging full-time, working with an agent and busy with beauty brands.

Connolly (25) said she never expected such popularity when she first started blogging, describing herself as a "nobody" in the online world last year.

"It is quite surreal at times, and I sometimes have to pinch myself as only last year I was a nobody in the blogging world," she said. "My blog and popularity has grown so fast that it is hard to keep up some times. I have to sit back and appreciate how far I have come in such a short space of time. Since signing with AR Model Agency, the work has been flooding in so its onwards and upwards from here.

"I never expected it to grow so quickly, and it still sometimes shocks me that over 100,000 people are watching me over my social media channels."

With nearly 70,000 followers on Instagram, a Snapchat following most would kill for, as well as 36,000 Facebook fans, the beauty buff knows a thing or two about the importance of a selfie. And she's given some tips in taking the perfect picture:

1. Lighting is what can make or break a good selfie! The best light to use is natural light, so find the nearest window and get snapping.

2. You'll know your best angles through practice. We all have a "good side' which you will get to know, and you will also find what angles work best for your face shape. If you want to get rid of a double chin, always angle the camera higher than your face, photographing yourself from above.

3. Always use the front camera on your phone so you can see what your photographing.

4. Be mindful of your surroundings and make sure not to have lots of clutter in the background of your pictures and don't forget to smile!

Rosie has teamed up with Oasis and Xpose to launch the'Me, Myself and Oasis' competition in the search for a new Irish social superstar. The new concept is calling out  budding vloggers to take part in the 4 week televised competition to win the ultimate vlogging starter kit from Canon and get them on their way to becoming a social superstar.
