The Netherlands' Queen Máxima, one of Europe's most stylish royals has arrived in the UK for a state visit - and so, a new style stalking session has begun.

Máxima, the 47-year-old Dutch monarch, arrived in lavish royal fashion alongside husband King Willem-Alexander, in order to greet Britain's Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Camilla, for an official state visit. The mother-of-four is famously adventurous when it comes to her wardrobe and has a well-documented penchant for headwear - normally it's a case of the bigger, the better, so her choice of a muted blush pink crown-style hairband is all the more striking.

She chose a tweed skirt suit by Dutch designer Claes Iversen and chose elegant diamond jewels from Steltman Jewellery, based in The Hague. Much has been made by the arrival as it marks the first official visit by the Dutch royal family to the UK in 35 years. A number of European royals have visited Britain in recent months as royals on both sides attempt to foster a positive working relationship in preparation life post-Brexit.

The royal couple, who have been married for 14 years, had afternoon tea at Clarence House with Charles and Camilla and will meet Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn late this afternoon, before a banquet at Buckingham Palace tonight. Tonight's festivities will receieve an additional sprinkle of royal stardust as Kate Middleton and Prince William are due to attend.
