Sweden's Princess Sofia is back to business after baby number two with pale pink power suit in Stockholm
Sweden's Princess Sofia is continuing her runway to real life personal style for her latest public appearance in Stockholm.
Sofia, known as the Duchess of Värmland, and husband Prince Carl Philip (37) recently welcomed their second child - an eight-month-old baby Prince Gabriel - and Sofia has returned to royal duties with aplomb this month. The 33-year-old has made a handful of appearances since the beginning of this year, but is back on the philanthropic trail with three engagements in the last week.
She heralded the arrival of summer in a pale pink power suit by Danish designer SAND Copenhagen, wearing a box fitted button blazer, €420, and matching flared trousers, €200, finishing off her look with a pair of powder pink heels by Swedish brand Stinaa J.
The mother-of-two was the guest of honour at The Sophia Party and presentation of Medals of Merit to Sophia Sisters at Sophiahemmet, and she is the honorary chairperson.
Sofia took a break from her public duties after welcoming little Prince Gabriel in September and has made a handful of appearances since the start of the year, mostly without her husband in a bid to establish herself in a more independent role within the Swedish royals.
The couple wed in 2015 after six years together. When asked about the difficulties of caring for two children under two, she told Swedish magazine Kupé: "We try to create as much family time as possible in the evenings, with bathing and getting into a nighttime routine. Gabriel has started sleeping and eating more regularly.
"We do get glimpses that it’s going to be tougher with two than with one. But there is also twice as much love."
When asked if the toughest part was over, she said: "Ask me again in a few months."
Her husband echoed her sweet sentiments, saying: "Gabriel and Alexander are still so small, but it’s so exciting to follow their development. It’s great to be part of their journey."
