Racegoers up the ante for Ladies Day at Aintree
Bodycon dress, plunging necklines and colourful fascinators as far as the eye can see can only mean one thing - Ladies Day at Aintree.
Early racegoers flocked to the Grand National Festival early this morning, dressed in their...er, finest.
This year's Best Dressed winner will walk away with a brand new Range Rover so the stakes are high.
A statement issued by the Jockey Club, which owns the racecourse, said there is no recommended fashion guide this year.
"Smart is preferable and is often adopted. Aintree is a spectacle of colour throughout the year, with many using their trip to the racecourse as an opportunity to showcase their favourite raceday outfits."
"Hats are optional too, but are frequently worn. Sports clothes and fancy dress are not permitted for The Randox Health Grand National Festival."
