Model mums-to-be Aoife, Karen and Sarah add their own twist to maternity fashion
As three of Ireland's most famous models, they were never going to stick to standard maternity style.
Aoife Cogan, who is expecting her second child with husband Gordon D'Arcy, turned heads in an olive velvet dress and black leather jacket, accessorising with a quilted Chanel 2.0 bag. And she's not sacrificing comfort for style as she was sporting a pair of metallic gold mules with fur lining by Gucci.
The former Miss Ireland led a host of famous faces at the launch of celebrity makeup artist Paula Callan's new salon Callan & Co in Ballsbridge and was joined by fellow expectant model mums for the occasion.
Sarah Morrissey went for an all black ensemble, including a pair of black gilded cage heels as she proudly showed off her growing baby bump. Sarah wed footballer Pat Jennings Jnr in 2014.
She is due to give birth in October and described pregnant life as "absolutely perfect".
“I’m flying around!” she told independent.ie. “I’m still working. Apart from the baby moving, it’s still the same.”
“For me, it’s [a fit pregnancy] the best thing anyway because I’m such a fit person."
Also spotted adding their own twist on maternity style was high fashion model Karen Fitzpatrick, who is due next month. The Kilkenny native is expecting her first child with husband of three years Eddie Hughes, She went for understated elegance in an all black combination, white sleeveless duster and embellished sandals.
The exclusive launch attracted a host of stars including Miriam O'Callaghan with daughter Clara McGurk and Samantha Mumba with husband Torray Scales.
