Kate Middleton wraps up baby bump in chic €1,000 ensemble
Kate Middleton has mastered the art of maternity dressing.
Recognised as one of the best dressed women in the world and currently expecting her third child, the Duchess of Cambridge has perfected the balancing act of a pregnant princess: recycling one day and a new high end ensemble the next. For her latest turn, Kate stepped out in a new red dress, the Elodie Tunic Dress by Goat, with pleat detail and a funnel collar worth €510 , wrapping up her growing bump in a grey coat by L.K. Bennett, the collarless Delli Check Coat for €560.
She finished off the look with her signature winter staple, black tights, and a pair of suede block heels, also by the British high street brand she has championed throughout most of her time in the public eye. Maternity clothes are notoriously expensive and while money isn't exactly an issue for the expectant royal, she needs to keep people interested enough in her with new looks, while not being seen as if she's being too frivolous with an exclusively designer wardrobe.
Like most women early in their pregnancies, she is shunning traditional maternity wear in favour of loose shift dresses and a belted coat to accommodate her shape and we can nearly be certain we'll see a few more repeats from her pregnancies with Princess Charlotte and Prince George over the coming months.
Kate was joined by her husband Prince William in Manchester on Wednesday for a Stepping Out session, in which young people give children's television editorial staff and content producers their view of how they respond to new programmes under production at Media City in Salford.
