Beauty queen Lisa Madden is virtually unrecognisable as she prepares for her Miss Universe debut.
The 22-year-old model from Cork was crowned Miss Universe Ireland in October and has just touched down in Miami for the international competition.
And she's clearly taking her role seriously as she recently posted a snap of herself with longer, lighter hair and prominent cheekbones as she underwent a makeover before flying out yesterday.
The Cork native is hoping to follow in the competition's most successful Irish entrant, Roz Purcell, who placed seventh in 2011, and is one of the country's top catwalk queens.
Lisa, who was a finalist on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model in 2012, is signed to Andrea Roche Model Agency and has spent her time training for the stage since being crowned.
She is currently a third year dentistry student at University College Cork and lives with her family on the Old Mallow Road.
According to her Miss Universe profile though, her dream career would be in geriatric care when she completes her third level studies.

"She has a huge interest in the elderly and enjoys visiting her local nursing home on a regular basis, since she was 16," the site reads. "She knows that her future career will see her working in the caring profession, preferably in the area of geriatrics."
