French First Lady Brigitte Macron turns heads in pink mini-dress on visit to Luxembourg

French First Lady Brigitte Macron is cementing her style icon status with every public appearance.
The 64-year-old, who is married to France's president Emmanuel Macron, brought her typical youthful style during a state visit to Luxembourg in a pink shift mini-dress as they met theGrand Duke of Luxembourg, Henri and his wife Maria Teresa.
Brigitte has become synonymous with short dresses showing off her toned calves, her trademark fringed blonde bob and almost always something by Louis Vuitton, a French fashion institution; in this case, a nude leather purce. Her alliance with the brand goes deeper than aesthetics and she often champions the fashion house because of her close friendship with creative director Nicolas Ghesquière.
Earlier this month, Brigitte defended her style, which is often criticised by naysayers, saying

"I wear above-the-knee, not minis! Although I loved to wear minis when I was younger, we would hide them in our bags when we went out…. and we’d slip bloomers on underneath to dance to rock n' roll," she told French Elle.
"We went from very short to very long — that was until my grandmother spotted me in one and exclaimed, 'My goodness, you look like a frumpy old granny'. Never again!"

She takes pride in her appearance, which is praised more often than it's ripped.
"I have always put a lot of effort into the way I present myself, just ask my children or students," the former teacher added. "I would never leave the house before choosing an outfit and doing my hair, the results may vary, but I cannot do otherwise.”
