French first lady Brigitte Macron opts for colourful elegance in fitted royal blue dress

French first lady Brigitte Macron brought her signature elegance for a meeting with her husband at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
The 64-year-old was by her husband French president Emmanuel Macron's side to greet the Grand Duke Henri and Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, inspiring chic workwear with a fitted royal blue shift dress and complementing suede pumps. Brigitte often accompanies her husband in an unofficial diplomatic role and most recently joined him for a much publicised trip to India.

Macron's bold personal style has made her a burgeoning style icon, especially with older women as her adviser Pierre-Olivier Costa has proudly revealed that she has broken records of the amount of personal correspondence, receiving an average of 200 letters a day from women around France.
"Many women in their 60s or 70s write to Brigitte to say merci, thank you because I didn’t know it was possible, thank you because I didn’t dare wear that sort of dress, thank you for showing that one can still seduce at 65," Costa told the Daily Telegraph.
"We were incredibly surprised at the scale of requests for help from Brigitte Macron."
