Five Irish women flying the flag at New York Fashion Week
It's that time again.
New York Fashion Week (NYFW) 2017 kicked off on Thursday for seven days of shows, with coveted tickets being reserved for those most in-the-know in the fashion industry.
Over the next six days, fashion-loving women and men will take to the streets of the Big Apple wearing carefully curated outfits as they prepare to see the biggest trends for the coming seasons.
These five women are among those flying the flag for Ireland as they attend one of the most important weeks in the fashion calendar.
Kerry native Erika made the move to New York five years ago, and has since carved a place for herself among the city's most stylish. Her designer and high-street wardrobe mix will make you swoon, while her outfit snaps will have you wanting to go shopping immediately.
Fashion and travel blogger Louise's ability to make high street clothes look designer is a skill that deserves to be celebrated. She travelled to New York on Thursday ahead of the jam-packed week after living in the city two years previously.
Former Miss Ireland Aoife made the move to New York earlier this year, and has wasted no time settling in. The model is attending her first NYFW, with plenty of bright and bold outfits expected.
As one of Ireland's most in-demand models, it's a given that Louise travelled to the concrete jungle for Fashion Week. Last year, Louise gained major kudos for dressing head-to-toe in Penneys for a fashion show - and looked incredible. Expect more budget-friendly and high-fashion looks this year.
Courtney is no stranger to NYFW thanks to her work as a stylist with Irish and international companies, including Xpose and Newbridge Silverware. Her boho-inspired wardrobe is to-die-for - although her love for vintage pieces will leave you heartbroken.
