Fashionistas buck traditional style for Ladies Day at the Dublin Horse Show
Racegoers threw the style rulebook out the window to inject some life into Ladies Day fashion at the Dublin Horse Show.
The Horse Show at the RDS in Ballsbridge signifies the end of the summer's glittering social calendar and today's event saw hundreds of men and women from around the country vying for the €10,000 prize.
Head judge Courtney Smith signified the new dress code for racing style by adding some edge with a plunging tropical print dress by Rixo London, a pair of vintage sunglasses and an on-trend boater hat.
Fellow judge Lorna Claire Weightman opted for a striking monochrome ensemble with a check print dress and heels from Karen Millen and a custom black fascinator.
Xpose host Karen Koster raised the bar in a floral print dress and a gold crown hairband from new Irish brand Taylor & Rose, while her co-presenter Cassie Stokes wore a wine mini-dress.
Former Miss Ireland stood out in a sky blue strapless culotte jumpsuit, a pair of embellished nude heels and headpiece by milliner Niamh Tierney.
The winner of today's Best Dressed Lady competition will win a voucher worth €10,000 from title sponsor Dundrum Town Centre, while the winner of the Most Creative Hat will scoop a €1,000 voucher for Great Lengths products and a €1,000 voucher for Mount Juliet estate in Kilkenny. The Best Dressed Man will be gifted with a custom made suit by Louis Copeland & Sons.
