Even style stars miss the mark sometimes - Caitriona Balfe hits the wrong note in ill-fitting satin jumpsuit
Caitriona Balfe might be the jumpsuit champion, but that doesn't mean it's going to work out every time.
The Irish actress (37) was among the stars at the A-list BAFTA nominees dinner at Kensington Palace on Saturday night in preparation for tonight's red carpet ceremony.
As a former supermodel, Balfe can pull off pretty much any look, but that doesn't mean every look should be attempted. Some fabrics can be unforgiving with satin chief among them, so an all-satin jumpsuit was never going to land her on any best dressed list.
By the time she hit the red carpet, the designer duds were entirely wrinkled and highlighted how ill-fitting it was. Not even her flawless hair and makeup could save the look.
The good news is, the Monaghan native will be returning to the red carpet tonight at the BAFTAs at London's Royal Albert Hall, where we expect she'll turn it around and solidify her spot as one of the best dressed rising stars in Hollywood.
Also spotted at the event was Emma Stone, Amy Adams, Eddie Redmayne, Ron Howard and rather bizarrely, Made in Chelsea's Louise Thompson.
