TV star Carol Vorderman is picture proof that racing style has no age limit.
The former Countdown presenter (56) led a host of famous faces at Ascot Racecourse over the weekend, showing her support from a corporate box in a chic all grey ensemble. Vorderman added her own twist to the traditional fascinator-and-gloves look preferred at the races in favour of a strapless grey bandage and classic black pumps, wrapping up with a masculine tailored coat.
The standout piece was her oversized headpiece by Lisa von Hallwyl, which she ditched into the afternoon due to strong winds. Clearly inspired by Kate Middleton, she opted for a pair of flesh coloured tights to fight against the cold as Storm Brian hit the UK and Ireland over the weekend. The ageless beauty cleared up suggestions she underwent plastic surgery over the summer, clarifying that she was on medication and spent most of the year grieving her late mother Jean, who died from cancer at 88.
But she was in brave spirits at the races where she was joined by legendary supermodel Jodie Kidd, who went for an equally interesting look: a camel poncho with fur trim and a pair of pleated slacks and loafers.
