Who wore what (and why?) to the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
WORST: Nicole Kidman
Nicole's pretty-princess attempt falls flat in this Dior gown. The colour washes out her porcelain skin and the hair is a mess.
BEST: Ruth Negga
Does Ruth ever get it wrong? She dares to bare (just a hint) in this semi-sheer Valentino gown and we're already excited to see what she will wear next.
BEST: Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman hits it out of the park every time, baby bump or not. Even Jackie O would approve of this classic black Dior gown.
WORST: Laura Linney
Even the vibrant colour can't save this unflattering shape.
BEST: Amy Adams
There's technically nothing wrong with this and it's admittedly a little boring, but Amy Adams was never going to bring the same pizazz to the PS Film Fest that she does to the Golden Globes and Oscars. Still, points for being a very pretty dress.
BEST: Janelle Monae
Fun and flattering. This shouldn't-work-but-it-does Jenny Packham dress is a breath of fresh air on an otherwise stuffy red carpet.
BEST: Kirsten Dunst
Again, it's a bit boring, but Kirsten pulls it off.
BEST: Octavia Spencer
Patterned skirts are hard to pull off, but the Hidden Figures star is the epitome of understated elegance in this bright number pared down with a crisp white blouse.
WORST: Suzanne Somers
Long time no see, Suzanne Somers. The iconic fitness star looks amazing for any age, let alone 70 - but there comes a time when everyone should retire the sequin bandage dress.
WORST: Laura Dern
Green ruffles never works with anything, no matter how stylish you normally are.
