I'm going on an official first date with a guy from work to see Rihanna in the Aviva, but I can't think what to wear. It's a concert, so I want to be comfortable and able to dance, but I still want to look fab. Any ideas? Taragh (27), via Twitter

Playsuits are still going strong this season and with good reason. Versatile, comfortable and, as the name suggests, a lot of fun to wear, these one-pieces have all the ingredients for the perfect concert outfit.

Coming in a range of summer styles, from bandeau to peplum, oriental to fringed, there's something to cater for all tastes.

Channel summer's love of Aztec print with Penneys' embroidered playsuit (1 €11). Or for a wardrobe that revolves around darker shades, give it a jolt of vibrant colour with Boohoo's 'Lucy' floral playsuit (2 €28). With cutaway shoulder detail, side pockets and nipped-in waist, this ultra-feminine piece will ensure your date can't keep his eyes off you.

For a block of colour, Asos's pale-green shift style with open back is both demure and sexy (3 €40).

If you have a bigger bust, it's best to avoid high-neck designs and opt for a sweetheart or V-neck style instead, such as the tribal-print design at Penneys (4 €7).

Given it's a Rihanna concert and that you'll hopefully be dancing the night away, steer clear of bandeau styles to avert any embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions. Another option is a pair of dungarees which, in a wave of 1990s nostalgia, are enjoying a huge comeback.

Style the Bellfield dungarees (5 €64.34, Asos) with a simple vest top, a pair of gladiator sandals and a tan cross-body bag for a laid-back concert look.

Enjoy your date!
