Style Dilemma: How do I make my figure look pear-fect?
Q I'm pear-shaped with a narrow waist but a big bottom and thighs. How can I dress to flatter my figure?
A Get the perfect pair of jeans; dark indigo or black with a flared boot-cut leg -- the flare will balance out top-heavy thighs. Make sure they are long enough to conceal a pair of high heels to give the illusion of long skinny legs. Next wear a light-coloured top to draw attention to your face as the dark bottoms slim your figure. A patterned top worn with dark a-line skirt will work the same magic.
A wide to medium-sized belt snaked around your waist will highlight your gorgeous waistline.
Try adding a short-fitted blazer that nips in at the waist but gently flares out over the hips to flatter your waistline and balance your bottom. A V-neck prom or a shirt dress is the perfect choice.
Wear a dark-toned vest top underneath a shirt dress and leave it unbuttoned to the navel and then add a belt -- the wide V-neckline will really flatter your figure.
