Stella McCartney dresses dominate at the GQ Men of the Year awards
It might have been the GQ Man of the Year awards last night but really, the night belonged to Stella McCartney.
The designer, who attended the event with her husband Alasdhair Willis, was the go-to fashion choice with at least four other celebrities choosing to wear her designs.
Opera singer Katherine Jenkins, Olympian champion Victoria Pendleton and socialite Heather Kerzner all opting for black dresses from Stella’s ‘London Evening Collection’. The figure-hugging black style, which is called the Brigitt, features flesh-coloured panels on the side which makes the wearer look exceptionally slender, not that any of the ladies in question needed it.
While Victoria accessorised hers with a brass belt, Heather kept it simple and Katherine, who complained about losing too much weight on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ opted for the floor length version.
Singer Louise Rednapp, meanwhile, went for a less revealing and more fashion-forward Stella dress. She choose a shiny blue brocade-print dress from the designer’s autumn/winter 2012 collection. This dress has been previously been sported by actress Jaime King.
And the designer herself flew the flag for her brand and wore a very flattering black strapless jumpsuit from her spring 2012 collection.
