So over: fake distressed jeans

SO OVER: fake distresseD jeans

It's got out of hand. This sort of thing used to be done well, albeit always in a sort of 'Bros in the Eighties' way. Now, it just tends to look like a rent boy in a Dolce & Gabbana ad from the 1980s. Or, worse, like your jeans are a bit dirty. Why buy any denim that is prefaded or, worse, snow-washed, that has some sort of built-in wax-covered creases that will wash out, to leave you with faded lines at the top of your jeans? We also include in this ban any unnecessary gewgaws – zippy pockets, ripping, coloured denim. See Ronan Keating, left, for a lesson in how grown men shouldn't look like their jeans need a good wash.
