She's back with a bang: Kate Moss launches her latest collection for Topshop
Kate Moss launched her second collection for Topshop today.
The supermodel unveiled the awaited collection with a live appearance at the Oxford Circus flagship store, followed by a performance from the band Duke Dumont.
Seven years after the first Kate Moss for Topshop collection, and three years after the collaboration went freeze, the world sees a new partnership, a little bit older and wiser, but still trademark Mossy.
Meanwhile in Ireland, the launch was a success - with one style of dress selling out within the first hour.
The model’s new range is a “wardrobe autobiography”, featuring recreations of her own personal favourites, featuring luxurious silk pyjamas, summer dresses, lots of evening wear and a twist on Moss classic with fringes, leather, sequins and even a silver gown.
Although Topshop will sale the collection online, Net-a-Porter will also be stoked with 38 styles.
The collection promises a high end finish but it is pricey for the high street. One hand-beaded dress costs £600 and most pieces start at £85. In comparison with H&M’s recent collaboration with Isabel Marant, these price tags are expensive.
She has been the British style icon for the past two decades, so it’s no surprise to see her fans camping outside stores worldwide. It’s a chance to buy a piece of the Moss magic after all.
