Epic seven shows in seven countries in seven days didn't just see the pop star make headlines, it saw her sport more menswear than womenswear too.

The last seven days have seen Rihanna fly to seven different countries on a Boeing 777 to perform seven concerts, all the time joined by a host of hacks and cameras (and a whole lot of revelry if reports are to be believed). But it's also seen the limelight-loving star make some interesting wardrobe choices.

Never one to shy from trying something new, she's clearly tired of having her pick of the world's best womenswear and decided to dip into the men's collections instead.

It started when she performed in Mexico City - the first stop on her 777 tour - on November 14. Sporting a custom-made leather bra by her personal designer Adam Selman (the numerous bra tops she wore throughout the tour are reportedly a hint of what's to come from her upcoming River Island collection), Rihanna added some Komakino x Opening Ceremony men's shorts and an Alexander Wang men's baseball on top to complete her look. The look was "Hood Glamour: boys' thug clothes mixed with diamonds and pulled-together hair and makeup," her stylist Mel Ottenberg told .

She then made her way to Toronto where Ottenberg dressed her some truly man-repelling men's shorts and a shirt by Central Saint Martins graduate Shaun Samson.

Day three saw Riri touch down in Stockholm and wear an oversized Adam Kimmel x Carhartt denim jacket, again from a men's collection.

Day four and to Paris where the menswear marathon continued - this time it was a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci printed satin tee from the spring/summer 2013 men's collection. Berlin was here next top, but there was no menswear here, so we'll ignore that one.

Then to London, where she donned her most successful menswear look to turn on the Christmas lights at Westfield Stratford (and reportedly pocketed a cool £500,000 for doing so). This time it was a pair of striped trousers and matching top from the men's spring/summer 2013 collection and an oversized electric-blue Raf Simons blazer from the Dior designer's autumn/winter 2012 collection.

"Loving the easiness of wearing menswear on this tour as a confident sexy look on a woman with major femininity," Ottenberg told Ottenberg was sure to keep Rihanna looking her usual provocative by teaming each menswear look with custom-made Manolo Blahnik heels or Tom Ford thigh-high boots and tons of jewellery from Chanel and Versace.
