Red Carpet Wrap: Best and worst dressed
Best dressed: Mena Suvari
After a quiet few years, the original American Beauty is back . . . with a bang! Actress Mena Suvari has been seen on red carpets from LA to Rome as she promotes her new movie.
The latest instalment of American Pie may be a long way from her fabulous debut as the oh-so-young object of Kevin Spacey's, em, lust.
But it has given the woman famous for her roles as a high-school hottie heaps of opportunity to get all dressed up. And, of course, to prove that she may be in her thirties, but she's still red-hot!
She has got several co-stars to beat in the style stakes, y'know. And if that means flashing a hint (or more) of flesh in a sheer dress, well, what's a girl to do?
But we have to admit that we prefer the party-loving, two-time divorcee in a slightly more ladylike number, like this one she chose for the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony.
Sexy, yet classy, it's a real winner.
Worst dressed: Maya Rudolph
It takes a lot to shock us. We laugh in the face of wardrobe malfunctions, joke at designer duds and nothing makes us happier than a really good frocky horror show.
But we're not laughing now. In fact, we think we might even shed a tear or two. Maybe not.
Dear God, Maya, what has happened to you that you'd choose to wear your favourite PJs to a movie premiere?
Now, obviously, everyone knows that pyjama parties are the hottest thing to hit the catwalk this season.
But that's the Stella McCartney sexy, silky version, not the well-worn all-in-one that you chose to wear for an early night (presumably alone).
The Bridesmaids star looks as stunned as we feel. She must wish it was all a bad dream.
Perhaps she was sleep-walking and has just woken up to find herself in front of the paparazzi.
What a nightmare.
