Princesses up the style stakes . . .

IT has been joked that fashion is something that goes in one year and out the other. But class and style have an enduring quality, as these outfits worn by Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie show.

The focus may be on Prince William and Kate Middleton in the countdown to their wedding on Friday, but his pretty cousins were turning heads yesterday as they walked to the Easter service at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

With the fashion world's focus fixed on all things royal, the pair cut an elegant swathe through the crowds. It was as if the sisters were using the occasion as a style dummy run as they turned up in fashionably short dresses, high heels and pill-box hats.
