Next model agency sign Lana Del Rey
'Video Games' singer Lana Del Ray joins Alexa Chung and Alice Dellal at Next Model Management.
Since the release of her debut single Video Games Lana del Rey has been hard to miss.
Released last October, the haunting tune was an instant hit played almost constantly on the radio and reaching the top 10 in eight different countries. It even proved a success with the fashion set, featuring on the soundtracks to both the Christopher Kane and Emilio de la Morena shows during London Fashion Week 's spring/summer 2012 season.
Something of a fashion sweetheart already, she's been dressed by Antonio Berardi (for the single's video), Moschino and Prabal Gurung, appeared in a spoof Prada advert for Wonderland magazine and performed at Mulberry's spring/summer 2012 presentation in New York.
But it's not just her music the fashion world loves. The 25-year-old pouting beauty from New York has now been signed up to the agency, Next Model Management , who look after modelling heavy-weights Abbey Lee Kershaw, Arizona Muze, Karlie Kloss and Anja Rubik, to name just a few.
Del Rey (whose real name is Elizabeth Grant) will come under their 'talent' wing, joining the likes of Alexa Chung, who is about to head up her own fashion TV show 24 Hour Catwalk in the US, and Alice Dellal, who is the new face of Chanel's 'Boy' bag campaign, so it's safe to say she's in capable hands.
All this success with just one single under her belt and her album yet to hit shelves - it looks like big things are in store for this up-and-coming beauty.
Lana Del Rey's second single Born To Die will be released on January 23, with an album of the same name following on January 30.
