Naas jewellery designer Niamh Spain, showcased her first collection at the National Crafts and Design Fair last week. It marks the end of a busy few months for Niamh, who launched her own business Niamh Spain Jewellery Design in October.

Niamh designs and manufactures all her wonderfully innovative jewellery from her studio in Naas and has expanded the collection to include rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, cufflinks and brooches. Inspired by architecture, there’s a distinct art deco feel about the abstract pieces.

Niamh thinks there’s a shift towards our views of Irish design; “If someone is going to invest in a piece of jewellery, there is added value from something that is Irish, that is handmade by a professional and that is made especially for them,” she says. “Consumers are starting to look at Irish design as a desirable, high quality commodity”.

The collection includes art jewellery, aimed at collectors and exhibited in galleries, commissioned jewellery, designed and made especially for a customer and limited edition jewellery, a set of sterling silver pieces kept in stock.

Niamh’s limited edition collection starts at €50. For sales, commissions or a copy of Niamh's catalogue, please email Niamh at or visit her website
