The supermodel has been dropped by Victoria's Secret as an 'Angel'
She's been the head Victoria's Secret angel for the last three years, but Miranda Kerr has reportedly been dropped by Victoria's Secret. The Aussie supermodel, who is married to hunky actor Orlando Bloom, signed a seven figure contract with the lingerie giant, but her contract reportedly isn't being renewed.
The reasons for her departure for the brand are still unclear, but it's believed that fellow Angels such as Candice Swanepoel and Alessandra Ambrosio are bigger sellers for the underwear brand, sources have told US Weekly.
"They can still use her for catalogue, where she will get a day rate, but she doesn't have to be an Angel to do that," an insider revealed.
Executives from Victoria's Secret wouldn't deny that the contract has not been renewed, but chief marketing officer Ed Razek tells Us that he has already invited Kerr to walk in the 2013 show.
"Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business - and easily one of the most popular,” VS president and chief marketing officer Ed Razek said in a tatement.
“She is also a consummate professional. Any rumours to the contrary are simply untrue. While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we'd like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me.”
“We have no plans to stop working with her,” he said. “In fact, I've already invited her to walk the runway in this year's fashion show and, happily, she's agreed."
A Victoria's Secret spokeswoman declined to discuss Kerr's status and said, "all contract information is confidential."
