She's new to the modelling scene in Ireland but now glamorous teenager Fionnuala Short looks set to make her mark across the pond after landing a modelling contract with a top UK agency.
he Louth girl (18) has been making waves at home and now she has been snapped up by London agency BMA Models.
The striking brunette has joined her Irish peers Holly Carpenter and Jayne Higgins on the books of BMA and is looking forward to carve out a career outside of her home country.
"I got signed in London so I've been doing quite a lot lately. I'm delighted," she told the Herald.
"I'm only back recently but I'm hoping to go back over again soon for a few castings."
While she's looking forward to spreading her wings overseas, the Dundalk girl is happy to remain based in Ireland for the now.
However, she admitted she wouldn't rule out a move to the US in the near future.
"At the minute I'm quite enjoying working in Ireland and I'm going to be back and forth between here and London," she said.
"I'd love to go to the US maybe when I'm about 20, I just want to get a few years here first," she added.
After repeating her Leaving Cert, the Miss Ireland 2014 runner-up has no plans to return to studying and is determined to make a name for herself in modelling.
"This is what I want to make a career out of and it's what I love to do, so I said I would go ahead and make a go at it," Fionnuala said.
The Dundalk native, who has discovered when she was only 14-years-old, recently joined Dublin agency Assets after a year-long stint with Andrea Roche's modelling agency and she is busier than ever.
"I just decided it was time for a change of scenery," the model said about the move.
"I'm delighted [at Assets] - they're really looking after me and there's a real family atmosphere in the agency," she said.
Speaking at the Trinity Bar and Venue's summer launch, the teenager also revealed that she hopes to compete for the Miss Ireland crown again after narrowly missing out on the title last year when she was just 17.
"I definitely would do it again," she said. "Not right now because I'm busy, but maybe in the next year or so. I'm definitely a fan of pageants."
