Lana Del Rey stars in sultry new ‘L.A. noir’ H&M campaign
Lana Del Rey's upcoming H&M campaign is "very L.A. noir".
Rumours have been swirling around of late that the 26-year-old songstress is involved in the high street store's newest advertisements.
H&M confirmed to WWD that Lana is indeed the global face of the brand's fall campaign - with a second set of advertisements planned for the winter season.
Lana - who is famed for her vintage style - has been making waves in the fashion industry since her music breakthrough at the end of 2011. She recently followed in the steps of fashion icon Alexa Chung when Mulberry named a bag after her.
Donald Schneider, H&M’s creative director, says the beauty's look is perfect for the store's ads.
“The mood is very L.A. noir,” he told WWD. “It’s inspired by our fall collection.”
Lana is seen looking her sultry self in one image - wearing a pink angora sweater and statement diamond drop earrings.
The star was shot for the prints ads by renowned photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
According to the fashion publication, Lana also performed a cover of Blue Velvet for a mini film that will be released on hm.com on September 19.
The edited version will be used as TV commercials.
